Introducing the GUIpedia
Around six months ago I started work on a new section of the site that I like to call the "GUIpedia" with the final goal being a sort of encyclopedia or dictionary of GUIs. The scale of such a project is fairly massive so the starting point was to get all the GUIs from Data Components downloaded, and re-uploaded then added to a database on this site. Adding 200 GUIs is a fair amount of work and to add to that, Data Components doesn't have everything released in the last 5 years. I think the project is far along enough now that it's worth showing off.
Obviously there are GUIs and versions missing as well as many GUIs that don't have any screenshots, and I need one good one per GUI to fill out the GUIpedia. If you would like to see a GUI added, please respond with a link to the ZIP file, the author, year and version. Also, if you want to see screenshots added feel free to upload them to the forum as high quality PNG or JPG (mainly for GUIs that have higher than VGA resolutions). Finally if you find that anything in the GUIpedia is currently wrong, for example I don't have a version name listed correctly, please don't hesitate to bring it up.
As I find the time I intend to add more GUI versions and data to the GUIpedia, I hope you like it.
Finally, I would like to thank Todd at Data Components for the amount of time it must have taken him to assemble all the GUIs, reviews and screenshots on that site.
