This week I chose a GUI that is fairly modern, and seems to keep to the goals of being fast yet usable. The look is a simple white on black and the widgets are fairly minimal, but it’s very stable and relatively fast.

Nice. A lot of features I think are hidden were overlooked such as .BAS and .TXT files open in a fully working resizable text editor and can be saved with ctrl-S. BMP files are also open in resizable image viewer. Pressing ctrl and clicking on a directory will open that dir in a new window. The file manager window is resizable and multiple files can be selected using the the right mouse button and copied/moved/pasted using ctrl -x c v and such.
I might redo the look of it and make it look nice and more popular looking. I usually prefer simple white on black though, easy on the eyes and productive.
I didn’t know about any of those features, they are definitely well hidden.
