BrandonGOTW: RMOS
Well I found a newer version of DC-OS, this time it was renamed RMOS, but it's definitely in the same lineage. This version adds a few custom apps, and shows a lot of potential, I wonder what RetroM is up to now. Download: RMOS

Sadly RetroM isn't up to much at all :-P And TBH this was a terrible GUI, the controls were awful, the apps were badly written and the icon text gets lost in the wallpaper! If I remember correctly this was thrown together in time for the GUI awards was it not?

Well if it's so bad, write a new one that's better ;) And I imagine that it was probably written for GUI Awards, it seems like thats the only way to get anyone to release anything

I would continue M-OS 2011 If I could be bothered. But it wouldn't really be worth it.

If you'd have fun working on it, I'd think it'd be worth it.

Except now you'll have to make it M-OS 2013. BTW, I interviewed with a company last week and had to explain my whole M-OS timeline when they asked me about it.

If I were being interviewed by a company I think I'd die of shame if they found out about any of my QB projects. What did they want to know about M-OS?

I have Fun500 on my resume, as a college student without much real experience it bulks up that section and helps show that I've been programming a long time.

ToddRe: GOTW: RMOS
They just wanted to know what the "Millennial OS" was. I explained about my QB days and my obsession with GUIs. I don't list it on my resume since I've never encountered a company that wanted a BASIC programer but since I have it on my website, and because of the magic Google machine, they knew it was mine.

BrandonRe: GOTW: RMOS
Well I know that companies aren't looking for BASIC programmers, but someone who has been programming for a long time (even in BASIC) is better than an inexperienced programmer.
