Re:notification area Balloons would be an addon, i really just want it to sit in the notification area than the taskbar, (its a program that always runs, i dont want it to take up much space)

Re:notification area That's your best bet. You could however write a freeBASIC program that sits in the system tray that launches/restores your QB app when clicked.
