ysftQFontS
Hello, My name is ysft. Some of you might remember me fro jacobpalm.dk as the developer of the crappiest Qbasic GUI, 9OS. I am here to tell you about my new project: QFontS, which stands for Qbasic Font Studio. It is highly customizable font routines for QBasic. I was thinking that allot of GUI programmers would want nice font routines for their beautiful GUIs. If you want to see my demo of qfonts, you can download it at: http://www.serpentine.moved.in/qfonts-0.0.1.zip It is only a demo and the font is broken. I am posting this because I want to hear some suggestions on what fonts should be included? and if you are actually gonna use it. my future goals for this project: -TUI font designer -smaller font file (convert binary values to decimal)

Welcome back ysft! I remember you and 9OS. If you can include "Lucida Sans" or "Tahoma" that would be cool.

I didn't know what to expect. Remember, with a font routine it needs to be FAST, I will slow DOSBox way way down and compare your routine to other ones.

Remember, this is only the first release. Right now I am trying to find a way to replace PSET with POKE/OUT statements for speed. You could also make your own fonts with it. The "font.dat" file contains all the font data, every character is 5x11 pixels. All you have to do is edit the font.dat file to the way that suits you, run the txtbin.exe program that was included, then modify the code in qfonts.bas to load you new font file. When I have the time I am gonna make a font designer for ease of use.
